Accessible Approach/Entrance

• Curb cuts are found at road crossings
• Route of travel is slip-resistant and at least 36” wide
• Objects can be detected by person with visual disability using a cane

Parking and Drop-Off Areas

• Two accessible parking spaces are available on St. Mary’s Place, just south of Woodbury Blvd
• Washington Square Parking Garage: 5 accessible parking spaces available on each floor (starting on 2nd floor) with 8-foot-wide access aisle
• Accessible space marked with International Symbol of Accessibility
• Drop off location in lot (out of traffic) for paratransit user accessible path on sidewalk to entrance

Entrance

• Entrance is accessible via a ramp with 1:12 slope
• Entrance door has at least 32” of clear opening with more than 18” of clear wall on the pull side of door, next to handle
• Threshold edge is accessible (1/4” high or less)
•  Automatic door clearly marked and can be opened with a closed fist
    Door can be opened with 5 lbs. or less pressure

Rooms and Spaces

• Aisles and pathways to materials and services at least 36 inches wide
• 5-foot space for turning a wheelchair completely
• Obstacles are cane-detectable in circulation paths through public areas

Other services

• FM Assistive Listening devices are available free of charge for audience members in both the Wilson Stage and Fielding Stage who are hard of hearing. Headset receivers may be obtained prior to performance time at the coat check, located adjacent to the main entrance. A major credit card or form of ID is collected as a security deposit. A personal induction loop that can be worn around the neck may also be obtained with the device to enable the use of a hearing aid T-switch.

Restrooms

• Fully accessible restrooms with pictograms used to identify restrooms (includes braille)
• Doorway to restroom is at least 32” clear with accessible handles (operable with a closed fist and less than 48” high)
• Adequate maneuvering space for a person using a wheelchair (approximately 5’ diameter clear space to make turns)

• Accessible stalls with grab bars behind and on the side of wall nearest to the toilet
