Baden Street Settlement Gymnasium
Joseph Avenue Arts and Culture Alliance presents its 2023 Rochester Fringe Festival in the newly renovated Baden Street Settlement Gymnasium—right in the heart of our historic community! A community centerpiece for over 120 years, the gymnasium has hosted everything from sporting events to musical and dance ensembles, on to charity events, and a host of educational offerings.

Accessible Approach/Entrance
- No accessible entrance
- Three (3) steps up to main entrance with a 32” wide manual door which can be pulled with a closed fist.
- Exterior steps not slip-resistent
- Interior steps after entering - four (4) slip-resistent steps before reaching the hallway to the gym
- Proceed through two (2) 36” wide entrances (one of which is a fallout shelter door that remains open) then up six (6) steps with a railing to the gymnasium
Parking and Drop-Off Areas
- No accessible parking available in parking lot
Rooms and Spaces
- Aisles and pathways at least 36” wide
- No 5’ circle or T=shaped space for turning a wheelchair completely
Seats, Tables, and Counters
- Fixed stadium bleacher seating
- Ground-level seating available upon arrival using folding chairs

- No elevator
Restrooms
- Located on the basement level which involves six steps down a staircase
- Not accessible stalls
