WADAIKO Performance
Wadaiko is Rochester’s one and only taiko group, aiming to
expand cultural knowledge and interest through traditional drumming shows.
Wadaiko is entirely run by students from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Most songs performed are traditional and passed on through oral tradition,
while some are more modern or contemporary pieces, taught to Wadaiko by
professionals or other groups.

What happens when the 13-member Dave Rivello Ensemble plugs in? DRE|RED! Sharp angles contrasted with smooth textures and combined with dynamic solos make for an evening of continuous color. This show is an extension of the Dave Rivello Ensemble, which has performed for 30 years in Rochester.
