The Amish Project
Jessica Dickey's The Amish Project is a fictional exploration of the 2006 Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. In this stunning tour-de-force, a single actress plays a host of characters in a community devastated by tragedy. From a convenience store worker to the gunman himself, each character comes to life from trapped in cycles of grief or rage to those who have a truly unexpected reaction.

Please note, like other fringe festivals around the world this year, our Virtual Fringe features open-access online shows that are not curated by Rochester Fringe. We strive to be an open platform, as performing artists have limited options during this unusual time. Show applications were reviewed to ensure appropriateness and alignment with Fringe's ideals of openness and inclusion.
