Submergence is a large, immersive, walk-through experience of light by the U.K.’s art collective Squidsoup, pioneers in the use of light, sound, and technology. Dynamic, three-dimensional movements create a swirling, sensory experience. The visions are ephemeral, liminal, akin to lucid dreams. We can see through, walk through, touch them. The work presents itself as a cube of virtual presence and energy placed in our physical world; something other and beguiling, there but not. Five distinct movements play in a sequence of ascending intensity.
