Run It Back : Alumni Dance Concert

School of The Arts alumni take to the Main Stage once more for an alumni dance concert! Run it Back features a versatile selection of well-known choreographers and performers from the early 2000s through the past year. You will recognize faces from the school, past Fringe shows, Hochstein, Garth Fagan Dance and more! Come enjoy this celebration of community, growth, and creation through movement and dance.

The SUM

This is the first-ever show created by Tetra Dance Company, a new, Rochester-based company directed by Iyana Voltaire. "The Sum" takes viewers into a new world where dancers are forced into structure and isolation. We see the perspectives of different people in this society and find what it takes to bring them together. The movement is unique in incorporating a variety of dance aesthetics and emphasizing athleticism, storytelling, and musicality.

Up Close and Personal With Garth Fagan Dance

Garth Fagan Dance is the region's leading artist-led, predominately Black cultural institution that develops young dancers, especially those of color. The company has recently been welcomed into the Library of Congress archives and designated a 20^th Century dance treasure, with Garth acclaimed as the longest-running Black choreographer on Broadway for his work on Disney's The Lion King. GFD is headquartered in a 10,008-square-foot space of a 100+-year-old building downtown.
