MERENGUE
Merengue is a bittersweet, hysterical romp through
homophobia and conservatism. An older Cuban couple plans a party for
their adopted gay son. Tatiana, the cleaning lady, questions the peaceful
harmony of the house. Racism, homophobia and antisemitism endanger the
loving environment. Everyone has a secret; coming to terms with their own liberates bodies and souls.
