Goddess Out of Exile is an interdisciplinary performance piece uniting poetry, spoken word, song, and belly dance to present female as goddess. It explores the history of female lineage and blood memory as creator of retold history. Written and performed by Sharon Rula Backos, and joined by her daughter, Dylaina Alexandria Young, this two-person collaboration is a search for creation itself, into the new paradigm of woman as creator.
