American Fiction
Based on Percival Everett’s 2001 novel Erasure, American Fiction tells the story of a frustrated writer fed up with Black tropes in entertainment...yet propelled to the very fame he abhors after composing a hilariously outlandish satire. Starring Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, and John Ortiz, this film garnered five Oscar nominations, winning best adapted screenplay.
