The Fixer

"The Fixer" is a mother's journey with her daughter born with Cerebral Palsy from birth to age 18. Purky travels with her daughter through a maze of conventional and unconventional therapies, schools, and doctors – some standard, some hysterically funny. "The Fixer" also addresses Purky's struggle with addiction in grappling with the diagnosis of CP and a future with a very different path for her and her daughter. The ending is a triumph, both for Purky and her daughter.

Fred Michael Beam and Friends

Fred Michael Beam is a professional actor, dancer, choreographer, producer, and director who happens to be deaf. For numerous years, he has provided artistic direction and an outlet for Deaf artists of all colors, ages, and professional backgrounds. He believes in establishing partnerships with various performing arts, visual arts, and media companies in both deaf and hearing communities. The goal of the performance is to bridge the deaf and hearing through arts, providing accessibility to deaf culture and ASL language.
