D'LYNN Sings

D’LYNN, a powerful female jazz vocalist from Central and Western New York, is famous for her debut at Buffalo's famed Colored Musicians Club following the release of her 2018 CD, Love Liberates. Her sultry, melodious vocals evoke good times and great vibes, and transform the atmospheric levels to all-time highs as she sings Motown's greatest hit ballads from the 1950s through the 1970s. Echoes of '64

During a three-day period from July 24-26, 1964 racial tensions exploded in Rochester. More than fifty years later, many questions of prejudice and inequality have gone unanswered and the scars are readily apparent in Paolo Pellegrin’s 2012 photographs of the inner city. Pellegrin’s images are added to historic news coverage and accompanied by music of Duke Ellington (who visited the Eastman School on August 6, only days after the unrest) and J.S. Bach.

Fringe Magic Lessons!

The School of Magic Arts, founded in 2017 by magicians Annie Montone and Brian Kehoe, is one of the only stage-magic schools in the world. This year, SOMA is excited to bring the magic to KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival! In a virtual lesson, participants will learn three effects in a half-hour: rubber bands magically switch places, a coin vanishes, and a pencil exhibits unusual properties in this live introduction to magic that lets YOU in on the secrets.
