Beyond the Legal Limit

Pat Henman is a 40-year veteran of Canadian theatre as an actor/director/singer. "Beyond the Legal Limit" is adapted from her published memoir of the same name. In 2013, Pat and her daughter, Maia, were hit head-on by a drunk driver; both survived. Pat tells her story of trauma and joy on stage accompanied by powerful music and lyrics by Canadian composer, Konrad Pluta. She is joined by singer extraordinaire, Rachel DeShon, and accomplished pianist, Robyn Lamb.

Breathe

Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) invites the public to experience BREATHE by Ong Siraphisut. Capsule (32020-32520)

“Capsule (32020-32520)” was created during the initial spread of the COVID-19 virus to the U.S. in March 2020. A series of improvisations captured over the course of six days, the work documents the geographical and emotional transition of moving out of school dorms back into a family home. “Capsule” exists now much as it did then, relatively untouched but decontextualized. Enclosed within it is remarkable tragedy, grief, uncertainty, and fear told through movement, body, and place.
