Current as of 8/16/21
If you plan to attend the 2021 Fringe, here is the health and safety information you need.
If you want to join us indoors, you MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED. You will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before you enter indoor venues. This can be a NYS Excelsior Pass OR your hard-copy CDC vaccination card (or a photo) plus ID. Everyone must wear a mask indoors. This includes children under the age of 12. No exceptions.
The Fringe is placing a priority on air circulation and ventilation at indoor venues. The Italian Circus Tent, which will live at One Fringe Place for all twelve days of the Fringe, has open sides that will allow for better air exchange than our previous spiegeltent would have allowed.
For outdoor events, because the greater air circulation significantly reduces the risk of transmission of the virus, proof of vaccination is not currently required. This rule may change in the next few weeks.
The Fringe is moving as many children’s events outdoors as is possible. The unvaccinated, including unvaccinated children, must wear a mask at all times – indoors and outdoors.
In consultation with event safety experts and the Monroe County Health Department, we will issue final guidance on indoor and outdoor events closer to the festival itself. Guidelines for both indoor and outdoor events may change.
The Fringe believes that during these challenging times, art is more important than ever to a civilized society. We look forward to enjoying the festival with you safely.
