Accessible Approach/Entrance
- Route of travel is slip resistant and at least 36” wide
- Objects can be detected by person with visual disability using a cane
- Curbs have curb cuts at drives, parking, and drop off
- Slope of ramps is no greater than 1:12 – ramps no longer than 6”
Parking and Drop-Off Areas
- 3 accessible parking spaces available with 2 of those spaces having an 8’ wide access aisle (hash-marked)
- Outdoor parking lot so no need for vertical clearance for vans
- Drop off location in lot (out of traffic) for paratransit user with accessible path to entrance
- Accessible space is closest to accessible entrance on proper route
- Accessible space marked with International Symbol of Accessibility
Entrance
- Main entrance door has at least 32” of clear opening with at least 18” of clear wall on the pull side of door next to handle
- Threshold edge is accessible (1/4” high or less)
- Door handle from parking lot no higher than 48” but is difficult to open with closed fist upon entry. There is a doorbell on the outside wall that does not work because we are a theatre and that would be distracting, but we always have a house manager ready to help if needed.
- Door handle to exit the lobby can be opened with closed fist
- Door to theatre itself is always left open
Rooms and Spaces
- Aisles and pathways to materials and services at least 36” wide
- 5’ space for turning a wheelchair completely
- Obstacles are cane-detectable in circulation paths through public areas
Seats, Tables, and Counters
- Aisles between fixed seating at least 36” wide.
- There are 8 wheelchair-accessible seats 2 on each side of the house closest to the center aisles, and 2 on each side of the house on the outside aisle of the section
- Companion seating available
- 8 seats have no armrests
- Accessible counters for tickets and concessions with a 36” wide section and area of free space in front of more than 30” x 48”
- Items easily in reach on the counter (i.e. napkins, straws, etc.)
- Water fountain spout not higher than 40” and can be operated independently with a closed fist
- Clear knees space of 27” high x 30” wide x 17”-19” deep

No elevator - venue has only one level
Restrooms
- Fully accessible restrooms with pictograms used to identify restrooms (includes braille)
- Doorway to restroom is at least 32” clear with accessible handles (operable with a closed fist and less than 48” high)
