Witness the creation of a sand mandala, in which impermanence and patience meet artistry and spectacle. Each day of the festival, artist Katie Jo Suddaby will delicately place thousands of grains of colorful sand, only to destroy the work when it's complete. Stop in several times to check the progress. Then, participate in the Destruction Ceremony on the final day. This Tibetan Buddhist art form teaches that nothing is permanent, so check it out while you've got the chance!
